STATIONS OF THE HEART is a theatrical song cycle by writer Jim Payne and composer George Maurer. In 18 songs, it explores the complexity of modern love, using the classic lyrical structure of the great American songbook combined with the melodic rhythms of contemporary jazz.. Three women tell their tales of romantic adventures, erotic mishaps, and gentle satisfactions, proving that love may be beautiful, but it sure isn’t pretty. STATIONS OF THE HEART, which opens September 30 and runs through October 17, 2021, is directed by Nautilus Music-Theater’s artistic director Ben Krywosz, with sets and costumes by Victoria Petrovich and lighting by Jeff Bartlett.
